{"id":24308,"date":"2021-01-27T19:28:00","date_gmt":"2021-01-27T22:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.pdainternational.net\/?p=24308"},"modified":"2022-05-13T19:30:33","modified_gmt":"2022-05-13T22:30:33","slug":"the-mindset-shift-organisations-need","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.pdainternational.net\/en\/the-mindset-shift-organisations-need\/","title":{"rendered":"The Mindset Shift Organisations Need"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u201cWe cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.\u201d \u2013 Albert Einstein&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organisations are challenged to find ways to improve their overall productivity and performance.&nbsp;Based on organisational culture, there is space to talk about improving.&nbsp;For this, the current&nbsp;organisational&nbsp;culture can be used as a starting point to make the changes deemed necessary.<br>If an organisation\u2019s culture is aligned with its goals,&nbsp;this&nbsp;can become a competitive advantage and \u201cstrategic asset\u201d that leads to success.&nbsp;On the other hand, if the culture is not aligned, there will be a greater tendency to inefficiency, impaired performance and lack of effectiveness in achieving objectives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An employee\u2019s perception of their organisation directly&nbsp;affects&nbsp;their motivation and, therefore, performance in their daily tasks.\u202f<strong>If an employee sees that there are opportunities for professional growth within the company, they will feel more motivated when it comes to dealing with challenges as&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>these<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>arise<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If employees feel discouraged, their productivity, health and satisfaction will be at stake; for the organisation, this translates into&nbsp;<strong>losing<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;money.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to transform an organisation and instil an agile mindset, we must rethink not only processes, but also organisational structure, design, human capital management, culture and leadership.&nbsp;We must also&nbsp;consider rethinking how we&nbsp;see&nbsp;employees: are they&nbsp;\u201cfunctional assets\u201d&nbsp;or can we&nbsp;start noticing&nbsp;changes in&nbsp;their personal interactions in their projects outside the organisation;
