However, once companies managed to stabilize their processes remotely, they began to notice that they should be interested (even more) in the most important asset: people.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:post-content --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->The <strong>employee experience<\/strong> is a process that allows us to identify the expectations, needs, and desires of future collaborators and to satisfy them with tangible and intangible factors, taking into account three areas: work environment, the physical workplace, and tools (resources). The COVID-19 pandemic also impacted this process (fundamental) since it has multiplied people\u2019s differences; living alone and working remotely is not the same as having a family with school-age children where you have to coordinate schedules, share computers and\/or workspaces, etc.; constant change is part of our reality today.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->Experts believe that the COVID-19 pandemic is the most significant event and global challenge of our lives; therefore, changing our attitudes and behaviors, forcing companies to react; even though the changes won\u2019t seem to end once the virus is gone. There are two focuses that organizations must ensure in the employee experience today: training leaders and maintaining employee motivation.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><strong>What\u00a0to\u00a0train\u00a0a leader in\u00a0the\u00a0context\u00a0of\u00a0a\u00a0pandemic?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Expectation\u00a0alignment<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->It\u00a0is\u00a0difficult\u00a0for\u00a0someone\u00a0to\u00a0have, in a crisis, all the answers. That is why it is expected that leaders can address the unknown and speak with confidence, accompanying the teams that expect actions in this environment.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Communicate\u00a0truthfully<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->There\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0lot\u00a0of\u00a0misinformation\u00a0circulating\u00a0in times\u00a0of\u00a0crisis, so problems should be explained honestly and directly. Communicate, always communicate.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Have\u00a0empathy<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->In line\u00a0with\u00a0the\u00a0previous\u00a0point,\u00a0you\u00a0have\u00a0to\u00a0listen\u00a0to\u00a0understand. People\u00a0should\u00a0feel\u00a0that\u00a0their\u00a0leader cares about them, that he pays attention to what they need.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->There\u00a0are\u00a0many\u00a0questions\u00a0to\u00a0be\u00a0answered:\u00a0What\u00a0are\u00a0organizations\u00a0doing\u00a0with\u00a0leaders\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0work\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0future? Are\u00a0you\u00a0capitalizing\u00a0on\u00a0today\u2019s\u00a0experience?\u00a0What\u00a0are\u00a0we\u00a0learning?\u00a0How\u00a0are\u00a0we\u00a0learning?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->Due\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0pandemic,\u00a0many\u00a0organizations\u00a0in\u00a0Argentina\u00a0(and\u00a0the\u00a0world)\u00a0have\u00a0had\u00a0to\u00a0move\u00a0much\u00a0of\u00a0their\u00a0operation\u00a0to\u00a0remote\u00a0work.\u00a0This\u00a0has\u00a0changed\u00a0the\u00a0way\u00a0we\u00a0connect\u00a0and\u00a0communicate, giving employees greater autonomy and requiring leaders to think quickly as new obstacles arise. Likewise, the economic crisis, uncertainty, and fear of getting sick can induce constant stress, affecting employees and their motivation.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><strong>Read\u00a0this\u00a0note\u00a0about\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.pdainternational.net\/en\/employee-experience-for-all\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Employee\u00a0Experience<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><strong>Stay\u00a0motivated<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->In\u00a0this\u00a0context, HR\u00a0must\u00a0sharpen\u00a0its\u00a0gaze\u00a0to\u00a0give\u00a0an\u00a0immediate\u00a0response\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0interactions\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0collaborators.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->Specialists\u00a0point\u00a0out\u00a0that\u00a0it\u00a0is\u00a0essential, in\u00a0this\u00a0context,\u00a0to\u00a0focus\u00a0on\u00a0three\u00a0points:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Motivate\u00a0unmotivated\u00a0employees,\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Improve\u00a0the\u00a0motivation\u00a0of\u00a0those\u00a0who\u00a0have\u00a0a\u00a0resilient\u00a0attitude\u00a0and,\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Highlight\u00a0those\u00a0most\u00a0productive\u00a0collaborators.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->As\u00a0we\u00a0already\u00a0mentioned,\u00a0honest\u00a0and\u00a0transparent\u00a0information,\u00a0taking\u00a0care\u00a0of\u00a0communication, and considering the collaborators allow creating a positive work environment.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->The\u00a0COVID-19\u00a0pandemic\u00a0hit\u00a0the\u00a0least-skilled\u00a0workers\u00a0in particular.\u00a0According\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0WEF (World\u00a0Economic\u00a0Forum) 50% of the current workforce will need to be retrained by 2025, while 40% of the skills currently considered central to work will change within the next five years. Concepts such as upskilling (training to optimize performance) and reskilling (retraining of skills for a new job).
