Gaming + Virtual Reality in companies

Millennials have notoriously grown up alongside the development of new technologies that, over time, have become a part of our daily lives. It is in fact this technological development that gets the attention of recruiters and HR managers alike, undeniably compelling them to use these trends for the benefit of their organisations.

On one hand, gaming has always been associated with recreational use, but in the context of the boom of virtual reality, artificial intelligence and Big Data principles, it began to tie in with the era of technological transformation.

On the other hand, virtual reality, which allows for information flow through games, began as a concept limited to science fiction, until a group of scientists, inventors and futurists began to come up with ideas and test viable models. Virtual reality allows us to create an environment almost identical to reality. Furthermore, with the arrival of the IoT (Internet of Things), organisations are able to share their knowledge, ensuring that data is not lost in the future.

Combining gaming and virtual reality leads to never-before-seen possibilities, taking digital practices to a whole new level by creating a virtual environment that provides “pseudo-real” experiences. It is also important to point out that virtual reality can help minimise unnecessary risk in relation to team practices, shedding light on potential scenarios that should be taken into account.

Now is the ideal time to take advantage of new technologies and achieve greater commitment or engagement among your employees, increase knowledge acquisition and retention levels, facilitate skill development, reduce work performance risks and make organisational processes more appealing.
