Work flexibility: less stress and greater efficiency

Employers are increasingly opting for more flexible work agreements for their employees. This, in turn, allows them to create an effective organisational culture that is open to global trends.

Flexible work opportunities have a wide range of benefits, not just for workers, but for all members of an organisation, regardless of rank.

Some of the characteristics of flexible organisations are:

  • Improvements in adapting the hiring model, adjusting it to the company’s reality at that moment, reducing its risk.
  • Reduction of costs. An employee that works from home one day a week will have more money in their pocket come the end of the month because they will save transportation costs and, the company will also save a considerable amount of its own capital because there will be less use of office supplies.
  • Improved quality of life and work-life balance.
  • Increase in productivity. Allowing employees to establish their own schedule will translate into better results for the organisation, because people will be more focused and highly concentrated.

A report from PwC affirmed that using traditional offices only makes sense if they are used as spaces to hold team meetings and brainstorming sessions.

Anyone can ask their employer for a flexible work arrangement. Give it a go!
